Sorbet is similar to ice cream, but unlike ice cream, it doesn’t contain milk products. It is often used as an alternative to ice cream for those on a diet because it doesn’t contain any fat, making many good recipie choices for people who are lactose intolerant or vegan 🙂

It’s basically just frozen water or juice sweetened with fruit, chocolate and sometime alcohol like liqueur or wine.
I m gonna give you here the recipie of the pineapple sorbet recipe (my favorite!), taken from ” Cooking Light”.

Ingredients:
- 1 small pineapple, peeled and cored
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- Mint sprigs (optional)
Preparation:
- Cut pineapple into pieces. Place pineapple pieces and lemon juice in a food processor and process until smooth. Add sugar then process for 1 more minute or until sugar dissolves.
- Pour mixture into a freezer safe container. Cover and freeze for 1 hour or until firm. Spoon into a small bowl and garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
