Want something a bit more indulgent?!

Was at Sultan Center and thought of trying those smart carb  ice cream sticks!

Personally I don’t count my carb consumption or restrict myself from consuming sugar as long as I know what is the sugar source I am eating! ( complexe carbohydrates, that means fiber, fructose sugar that means fruits but of course cheating days won’t be harmful sometimes!)

I was so curious to try those sticks and then to share it!

I went for the vanilla almond bar coated with chocolate! So tasty and crunchy!

For those watching their carb intake, one stick contains only 6 grams of sugar, and it is sweetened with splenda, which is not absorbed in the bloodtream and so is not harmful, even for pregnant women.

One stick contains 190 calories, and 2 grams of fiber!

It can be a good option for an afternoon snack! 🙂

Low-carbohydrate diets or low-carb diets are dietary programs that restrict carbohydrate consumption, often for the treatment of obesity (depending on each case!). Foods high in easily digestible carbohydrates (e.g., sugar, bread, pasta) are limited or replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of fats (good fats)  and moderate percentage of protein!

Low-carbohydrate diets are used to treat or prevent some chronic diseases and conditions including: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, tryglicerides and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Could a low-carb diet give you an edge in losing weight?

As I said, some low-carb diets say that they have health benefits beyond weight loss, such as reducing risk factors associated with heart disease, certain cancers, diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

So it does not mean that they will make you lose weight!

But if you don’t t suffer from any medical problem, you can still enjoy all types and amounts of foods featured in low-carb diets!
