There is a lot of debate concerning eating raw liver! Some people say that it is full of essential vitamins and minerals and we should consume it at least 3 times a week, others say that it is not recommended as it can be dangerous to our heart and kidneys!!
Personally I don’t eat that at all!! (But still I am gonna talk about it). And I kind of get surprised how people can have this meal for breakfast! I guess it is a matter of culture and taste!
It is widly known by all ancient societies that liver is the most nourihing food on the planet! It contains more nutrients, than any other food!
Raw liver is the most concentrated source of Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps to promote healthy vision, promote fertility in males and females, and allow for proper embryonic development.
It has all the Vitamin B in abundance, and especially the vitamin B12 when consumed raw.
It is one of the best sources of Iron and Folic acid! And so is a cure for Anemia. For those who want to prevent pernicious anemia from ever occurring, the best thing to do is to eat liver once a week.
Live is rich in the most essential trace elements such as copper (best source), zinc and chromium, needed for normal metabolic processes!
However one of the main problems when eating raw liver is not to trust the sources of the meat you are eating!
But still, the best way to eat raw liver is to freeze it for 14 days to avoid any parasitic infection!
Pregnant women should avoid any raw food!!
Although raw liver provides many important and needed vitamins, it might be dangerous for people with high blood cholesterol levels ( loaded in saturated fat), and with people with renal or kidney problems, who must decrease their protein anf fat intake!
