A lot of you might not eat this kind of vegetable! Personally I didn’t use to like it either, especially because of its bloating effects! But my mom taught me how to cook it in a really pleasant and tasty way!
She puts the cauliflower in a casserole, adds some salt to it, then mixes it together. At the end she adds a very little canola oil and mixes it together again.
The look might not be appealing as you are mixing the cauliflower together! So you gonna have small brownish cauliflower pieces!
The good thing about that way of cooking, is that I don’t feel bloated at all after eating it! It tastes really good and juicy! I like to dip it with some low-fat labne that adds flavor to it! You can use the cocktail dip as well!!
Cauliflower contains allicin that improves heart health and reduces the risk of strokes, and selenium, a chemical that works well with Vitamin C to strengthen the immune system.
Studies have shown that cauliflower, as well as Brussels sprouts and cabbage, contain indole-3-carbinol, a substance that can affect the metabolism of estrogen in the body, and prevent breast and other female cancers!
So, we can saythat cauliflower is low in fat, high in dietary fiber, folate, water and vitamin C, for only 80 calories per a medium size head!
