All of the people who tried to diet somewhere in their lives know what I am talking about
Those who are trying to lose weight often hit a time when the scale won’t budge, and this becomes really annoying and disappointing! We start to feel guilty and blame ourselves for that!!! that’s for sure
!But weight loss plateau is common, it can be overcome
6WAYS TO BREAK IT
1Change what you are eating
If you are eating a moderate diet that is high in carbs, try now to eat less carbs and more proteins. If you are used to eat a cheese sandwich in the morning, switch to an omelette for example with no bread
2Add snacks between your meals
When you eat small meals on different intervals throughout the day, you burn more and you break the plateau. Eat 3 main healthy meals and include healthy snacks like fruits, crackers, yogurt in between
3Alter your calorie intake
Vary your daily calorie intake. If you are eating 10000 calories today, take 1200 calories tomorrow, 1700 calories the next day
This can be done if you simply double or divide the portion size of the lunch, add or remove a post workout shake into the diet, add or remove 2 juices as additional daily snacks
But don’t alter your calories by more or less than 300 calories a day
4Change your workout routine
If you have been doing the same exercise for few weeks, try something different. If you have been using the treadmill for long time, it is time to try a new machine or attend aerobic classes
Your body responds quickly to everything new
5Add resistance training
Muscles burn more calories than fat. That is why building muscles is an excellent way to get a higher metabolism. Incorporate resistance training into your workout; add more weight, and more repetitions
6Drink more water
Water has a direct impact on metabolism. If you drink almost 2 liters per day, you boost your metabolism
Be sure to drink extra water when you drink coffee and tea to conpensate for the water loss, because they are diuretics
Every person is unique and body responds differently from one to another
Chill out and relax. Don’t become obsessed with your weight
Give your body and mind a break. You will lose weight without even thinking about it 😀
