I was discussing with a client of mine about sweeteners side effects and which one is the healthiest one. Then she asked me about Stevia sweetener that she got from Dubai.
I made a small research on it and found it very efficient, healthy and 100 % Natural!
In fact, it is organic, extracted from leaves of very refreshing sweet taste and excellent health promoting qualities, and completely non-toxic!
Plus the herb is nutrient rich, containing substantial amounts of protein, calcium, phosphorous, sodium, magnesium, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin C, and other nutrients, with ZERO CALORIE!
Unlike other sweeteners, Stevia do not cause cravings for sweets and fatty foods!
Stevia has been used successfully by diabetics and those suffering from hypoglycemia and it has been prescribed by physicians in Paraguay in the treatment of diabetes and high blood pressure .
There is more!!
The Stevia leaf extract can be used as a facial mask by smoothing its liquid over the entire face, allowing it to dry for 30-60 minutes, then rinsing. This will help tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and acne.
Stevia is 10 to 15 times sweetener than sugar.
STEVIA, the natural replacement for sugar, aspartame and acesulfame K, has been tested around the world and found to be completely non-toxic!
Industrial research in Japan has shown that Stevia and Stevioside extracts are extremely heat stable in a variety of everyday cooking and baking. So it is a great option for cooking!
As I said before I knew tha it is present in Dubai, more specifically at" Super Care" pharmacy in the mall of Emirates and Ibn Battuta.
It costs 75 Durhams.
It is still not present in Kuwait. And if anyone found it in Lebanon lemme know plz!!
Thanks!

has it been considered as safe, because last time i heard it was banned in industries in europe yet others say it's ok for home-use.What is the upper limit for it??
Thanks dear
Although Stevia was not approved by FDA before but a 2003 review-study looking strictly at real-life consumption of stevia, found that stevia was perfectly safe for diabetics, phenylketonuria patients and those simply wishing to avoid artificial sweeteners while dieting. This study also went on the say that no evidence of allergic reaction was found.
The good thing is that it has no aspartame, sucralose or saccharin and so has zero carbohydrates. In Japan it is used now in their diet Diet coke and sugar free gums.
You can have up to 5 sachets daily
oooh i researched about it its nor generally considered as safe, though no long term studies are made yet, it's too soon to know cz it's kind of new, Thanks!
and how much is considered one sachet? and can pregnant, lactating and kids take it? thanks again
simply-stevia sounds like simply-carcinogen...
As you said paty there no studies that agree on it as a being not safe.
If you are pregnant, you cannot take any kind of sweeteners babe.
ah well i was hoping some new sweetener would :p hehe thanks!
